Grading Policy

 

Students in 2008 completed a unit on the music of The Beatles, and created a piece of artwork inspired by the music. Lande Asiru performed an original dance to "Let It Be", Fred Labunikher and Bri Goldberg did an original version of "In My Life" and James Boodt composed and performed a piece inspired by "I Want To Hold Your Hand." Students in Music Appreciation composed a 4-part piece of music. They rehearsed and performed their compositions, experimenting with a variety of different instruments (exploring timbre). This project was the culmination of a short unit on MUSICAL NOTATION, learning the written language of music.
