In the last six years, the Calabasas High School music program has embarked on five trips away from home to compete in festivals at the national level.

The first trip, May 5-7, 2000, was to San Francisco.

The awards the groups received in that competition are as follows: Vivace- 1st place;
Wind Ensemble- 1st Place, Judge's Choice; Jazz Band- 1st place, Judge's Choice.

From April 18 - 22, 2001 the top three CHS groups were at it again only this time

From March 19-23, 2003 our CHS groups competed in New York again taking top prizes. Click here to see the online album.

From April 15 – April 18 2005 four top CHS groups went to New Orleans to compete at the Heritage Music Festival. The Heritage Music Festival's highest honor of the Sweepstakes Award went to Calabasas High School!!! 

In addition all groups took top prizes.  Jazz Band received awards for the most outstanding Festival Group and the 1st Place Gold Adjudicator Award.  Wind Ensemble received a 2nd Place Silver Award, Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble received the award for Outstanding Instrumental Program. Vivace earned the 1st Place Gold Award and an invitation to the "Festival of Gold" and Maestoso earned a 2nd Place Gold Award and an invitation to the "Festival of Gold".  Click here to see the on line album.

From March 30 to April 4, 2006 our Wind Ensemble traveled to Boston to participate in the Heritage "Festival of Gold" which included a performance in the home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Hall. Click here to see the on line album.
